JVM410H - Bold sound and flexibility

renzer, 19.10.2009
Sound:

Clean green: Very clean and marshall untypical sound.
Clean orange: Immernoch rel. Cleaner sound, but here one hears in middle gain stages rather that one is dealing with a Marshall.
Clean red: A slight crunch can also be heard in the middle gain stages. All in all, but a more restrained or clean sound.

Crunch green: Similar Clean red.
Crunch orange: Typical Marshall sound, moderate crunch.
Crunch red: Very nice, rough, snotty crunch. Hot.

OD1 green: Very similar to crunch red.
OD1 orange: Here the post goes already properly, pefekt for rock music of all kinds.
OD1 red: Here even metallers can get their money's worth. Bold sound, especially with a lot of gain really hammer.

OD2 green: Similar to OD1 red.
OD2 orange: high-gain solo and scale-up-and-down fidel mode.
OD2 red: High gain for fat metal sounds. Crash right.

Features:

Flexibility is hard to beat. As already described above, the 12 modes allow extremely good tuning between the different sounds, since the boundaries between the individual channels are rather soft.
The two master volume controls do the rest. Perfect adjustment to the soundeigenschaften, which one for its very personal desires needs.
Resonance and Presence controls are not to be underestimated as the response of the amp (from very fast and crisp to sluggish and soft) can be significantly modified and adapted to different needs.
Via the Footswitch you can control everything you need. This is also individually programmable.
And these are just some of the endless possibilities of this amp.

The processing is Marshall-typical as always 1A.
I can recommend the amp without reservation.

A super amp!

Daniel168, 28.09.2012
I will try to make my enthusiasm objective:
I play the JVM410H now for about 9-10 months,

Per:
It has a lot of channels with which you can really cover a very large spectrum of sounds. The programming of the footboard is easy to understand with the help of the manual and then easy and fast to use (also suitable for people who, like me, did not have a programmable footboard before). You can decide which of the 6 switches you want to have. Eg the Clean, Chrunce or OD channel in green, orange or red, with or without a reverb, if you want to use Master 1 or Master 2, everything can be saved as you would like it to be.

I am very happy with the JVM, especially in this price class I missed the 4 main channels (Clean, Chrunce, OD1, OD2) but the JVM had even more to offer.
I play it with a 4x12 "MR1960AV box from Marshall.

Contra:
There is, however, a small thing I notice the following Zenario: I stand on the stage and switched after the soundcheck not again in the clean channel but stayed in the OD2 since I wanted to check the solo sound. Then the problem came to the semblance. If you play the JVM with high volume in the red and orange channel of the OD1, OD2 can be that one can hear a clear noise. (Solutions: Turn the gain back, or always switch back to the Chrunce or Clean channel if you just have a pause on the stage, or you try it through Noisegates in the FX Loop (whereby I will try the last method even still) .

I would recommend the JVM everyone.
