This preamp comes as close as possible to the classical ideal to only amplify the mic's signal in the most neutral way. Fully transparent, no audible noise! It has a very carved out sound, with very steep transient response.

The unit has great functional options and helps avoid operating errors due to its well thought out design. Only the rotational buttons are a bit cheap and small, which is the reason I cannot give it 5 stars for "Verarbeitung". Otherwise it's a perfect product. Make sure you have good microphones as this unit will mercylessly show all their shortcomings.

Dieser Mikrofonvorverstärker wird oft als Referenz genannt und ich kann das nur bestätigen, vorausgesetzt man möchte einen nicht klingenden Preamp. Er überträgt Instrumente und Stimmen absolut klanggetreu im Zusammenspiel mit entsprechend hochwertigen Mikrofonen, versteht sich. Ein Gerät für Musikprofis, weniger für Laien, denn es kommt haargenau das raus, was man hineingibt, da wird nichts weichgezeichnet oder geschönt. Für leise Instrumente auch sehr geeignet, denn da rauscht nichts!
Die stufenweise schaltbare Verstärkung ist gerade für Stereoaufnahmen sehr wichtig und das Mutingsystem ist sehr komfortabel im Aufnahmebetrieb. Die Verarbeitung ist ebenso tadellos. Ein Gerät, mit dem es einfach Spaß macht zu arbeiten!
