My Gigging Ukulele
As soon as I plugged this uke in I knew I had made a good decision. The sound has a depth to it, and other musicians have remarked on it as well. Having the right sound adds to your enjoyment of playing the instrument.

Great electro-acoustic tenor uke with integrated pickup and tuner system, plus bass, treble (EQ) and volume adjustment dials. Build quality is solid. Only drawbacks were that the tuner’s screws needed tightening, and I had to apply a drop of Ballistol oil to the gears. In addition, there was some fret sprout so I applied some F-One fretboard oil, and after a day or two, the wood relaxed and the fret sprout has practically vanished. Hence, 1 star minus.
Soundwise, the teak back, sides, and main top give you that dense, punchy, lower-mid projection with a dry, woodsy attack. It cuts through a mix cleanly without sounding thin. The mahogany centre strip running down the center adds just enough warm, sweet resonance to smooth out the dry nature of pure teak. It being a tenor size, means deeper bass response, more physical volume, and sustained note decay.
At home, I run it through a 60W Boss ACS Live amp for serious practice with my pedalboard and looper, or, when just doodling and noodling around, I use my 3W Blackstar Fly 3 mini acoustic amp. The uke and both amps pair very well, and it’s great fun!
Cheers folks!
