K&M Rest Assured
K&M make fine products. Konig and Mayer. I have bought their drum thrones and added these back rests. I would really recommend having a back rest for work. K&M back rest is strong, practical, durable & comfortable. I have 2 of the Nick drum thrones with back rests. One in Cork & One in Dublin. They are a little bulky for transport but mine fits nicely attached to seat in my hardware case. Well worth it. Good value.

A great add on to the K&M stool!
I bought this to go with my new K&M 14044 stool and am very glad I did. The stool was comfortable without the addition of a backrest, but the backrest gives me a bit better posture and enables me to sit still a bit longer without any kind of pain.
The backrest does make the stool less compact if you are folding it up and travelling with it, but for home use I am sure this will not be an issue. I am using it for gigging and think it well worth the small amount of extra space it takes up when travelling to and from a show. You can also remove the backrest which makes it a bit easier to transport, but I didn't want to go through the hassle of re-attaching it each time I went to a gig.
It is sturdy and well made, just like the stool itself. I have no qualms in recommending the K&M backrest. It would be nice if you could get an add-on guitar holder to clamp to the back of the seat rest.
The stool and backrest were delivered in two different boxes from Thomann, so I did momentarily panic that the stool had been forgotten. It arrived a day after the backrest, well packed and in perfect condition.

I finally have back support!
I really like this element of the chair, although I do wish it could be brought just a tiny bit closer to the chair itself for those times when I'm sitting right on the edge of the seat! However, that could just be to do with my stature. Still very comfortable

K&M backrest
I'm happy with my purchase. The backrest attaches to the throne securely, and offers a good range of adjustment both up and down, and forward and backwards. It helps with my posture, whilst at the drumkit. I have experienced some back problems recently and the back rest definitely seems to help. I already had a K&M throne so just needed the backrest. Even adding the price of the throne, it is still competitive with other brands. It doesn't fold down, so you need to carry the backrest and seat together, or dismantle and assemble these for every gig. Overall, I would recommend it.

Nice back saver !
Used in addition to K&M 14060 and it provides great back support, easy to install/uninstall and adjust.
