Simple but Effective
jangarrack 12.10.2020
I've been using various guitar supports that attach to the guitar with suckers, which are ok but can become detached and can be a bother when changing guitars having to move it from one guitar to another. This cushion overcomes those problems and is probably the simplest possible solution to provide a comfortable playing position.

It's not adjustable like a stick on support and it took me a while to get used to the slightly different playing position it provides, but once I did, I found it surprisingly effective and stable.

I tend to use this most of the time now and think it would be nice to also have the smaller size to allow for different seating positions.

I Have only awarded it 4 stars instead of 5 as I think it is quite expensive for what it is, although Thomann was by far the best price I found for a genuine Hopf Dynarette.

Does what it is suppose to!

I have never owned a similar product or a leg rest so I did not have any particular expectations. Bought to get some relief for my back when practising guitar (mostly electric guitar) sitting down. It does that job fairly well. I think the low version would have suited my needs a little better but this one works just fine as well. The shape is quite good although I would prefer some minor changes to suit my anatomy. I guess it's unrealistic to expect a product like this to be 100% perfectly suited to your anatomy and guitar. It seems to a quality product. Nothing to complain about in that regard. One thing that worried me a little was the fact that several people have complained about it being noisy. I have not noticed any squeaking or creaking at all. The comments really made confused until... no, can it really be that? Yes, I honestly think that these people never took the cushion out of the plastic protective bag it came with. I mean, if that is true then it's hilarious. So I guess I have to advice people to take it out of the bag before using it.

In essence, a good product that does what it says on the label! Nothing spectacular, but I think the price is right.

Comfortable and stable but noisy

Good for gigs and practice but not for studio-recordings. Too squeeky/noisy.

Hopf Dynarette High

Well made product although slightly pricey (not Thomann). This is the correct height for me. I previously bought the standard height one which is ok if you're sitting on a piano stool or a younger/smaller individual is using it. Great service and speedy delivery from Thomann.

Well made alternative to guitarist's footstool

The Dynarette is very well made. Some people love them but to me they feel awkward. You have to try everything though until you find what suits you.

Good but the lower version is easier to manage.
MNA-Thorulv 29.10.2023
I have both the low and the high versions (this one). It is not for the stage but good for practice. The low version is easier to manage.
