Amazing once set up
This guitar was exactly what I was looking for. I was looking for simplicity with quality and that's exactly what this is. The Tesla Plasma-X1b Alnico V Humbucker is super hot and heavy with great output for everything from rock to thrash metal. The Radiant red finish is absolute eye candy but it's honestly the hardware and quality of build that sets this apart from other guitars for its amazing value. A Floyd Rose 1000, Caramalised Maple neck, barrel type input jack AND a double action truss rod adjustment with the spoke wheel! You would pay twice this price for any other major brand and I doubt the quality would be anywhere near as good.
The only thing missing is locking tuners for this to be a 5/5 on features.
My only issue was that the guitar arrived with all four springs attached on the floyd rose which was putting too much tension on the neck. This was all fixed once I did a quick setup, restring and changed the springs to my preference.
Still a 5 star guitar and I am utterly blown away by Harley Benton's quality and range. This is my second Harley Benton guitar now and I recently sold two of my top range $2000 guitars so I could buy more Harley Benton guitars.

Great guitar!
I purchased the ST-80FR MN in Radiant Red in June of 2025. The quality of the instrument is very good with my only complaint being the stainless frets coming in very scratchy, which surprised me. The roasted maple neck is a standout feature and the tesla pickup sounds great! The idiotic import tariffs added quite a bit to the cost (the orange buffoon's fault, not Thomann's), but if you can avoid them it's a must buy imo.
