Like with all the ministomps, the case is made from metal and all in all gives off a quality feel. I particularly love the golden tint on this one. The tones are just lovely, giving off that classic rock'n'roll feeling, from deep, crunchy power chords to howling highs. How it compares to a real plexi I can't say, but I personally find the sound excellent. The audio is clean without noticeable static. Can't find anything to complain about with this super cheap little pedal so I give full scores.

A classic Marshall in a box really.
ShadeshiftR 18.09.2024
College student here, was looking for something to give me a punch out of the colleges fender amps (they’re difficult to get nice gain out of) without spending a fortune. For how cheap this is I decided I might as well try it and boy I’ve never made a better choice. The tone knob is where I dock most points as it gets very treble-heavy on either setting and thus sounds rather tinny but as long as you keep it below 12 o clock it does the job nicely. Good for light overdrive or punchy british distortion. Very pleased overall.

Too dark for me
stimresp 03.08.2025
I punted for a few HB minstomps and have been impressed. I was most excited for this one, but it is just too dark for my taste, even with the tone knob maxed. The bright switch doesn't seem to do much. I put an EQ with boosted highs in front, but it still lacks treble. My first plexi experience so maybe I was expecting too much.
It's really well built. One cool feature I haven't seen mentioned is that there is a barely perceptible LED inside that reacts to your playing volume.
Not for me personally (I'm more of a clean-crunch player), but at the price I'm glad I tried it, and so should you.

Awesome Budget PLEXI Sound
TheBedroomRocker 19.11.2021
This little fella delivers some serious hot-rodded plexi sounds on a budget and small format. It does NOT have a tons of features, but does what is supposed to and build-quality is exceptional for what you pay. The gain knob goes from a medium crunch to classic high-gain 80s sounds. The tone and bright switches makes it pair nicely with different guitars/amps, although there is a serious volume jump between Normal and Bright modes.
