Does exactly what you need it to

Jucot 20.10.2026

Prefer these over the 'normal' clamp because the extra surface area means you don't risk denting your stand tubes as much. They're robust, and they'll last pretty much forever. Whether they're worth the extra money over the standard version sort of depends on what you're using it for, but other than price i can't see much reason to take the smaller one.

Sometimes you need the memory lock in addition to keep it stable if it's got more load on it, which is a bit annoying, and with age you need to lubricate the hinges a bit. I've also seen older ones get a bit of rust or lose the finish but they still work, just maybe don't leave them lying in the rain on the regular.

There's certainly no better options here, just wish they were cheaper so i could justify having more of them
