Avoid.
Recently I bought a brand-new Fender. Once the factory strings started to wear out, I decided to bring the bass back to life with a new set of what Fender claims are the factory strings – the 7250M.
First, I bought a set locally, but they were dull right out of the box. Then I noticed Thomann had them in the newer packaging, so I thought maybe the first set was simply too old.
Wrong! This set is also ready to be thrown away straight out of the box. The factory strings, which are now months old, still sound fresher than these.
It’s also obvious from the colored ball ends that these aren’t the same strings as the factory ones, despite Fender’s website claiming otherwise. (The factory strings all had brass-colored ball ends.)
