Best strings for my acoustic. I use 13s for my Gibson J-35. This is a short scale guitar (Gibson scale - 628mm), so the 13s feel not so sharp to your fingers. Then I use 12s for the regular scale (Martin scale - 648-650mm) guitars. Of all the brands, Elixir is the one that last the longest and always feels and sounds like new. Highly recommended!

Great strings

I gig quite heavily and am very heavy handed whilst strumming, these strings can last quite some time and feel great to play

Sounds great but the coating gone after just a few days
JustinasK 08.11.2024
I don't know anymore if the Elixir is the right choice for me. Every time after just a couple of days the G and the D strings on the 2nd and 3rd fret look a bit rusted. And after a week of light use, the coating already comes off.

These strings do the job!
JDWP 13.03.2025
Good balance in tone, intonation, feel and evenness across the neck. If your guitar is bright and you want to calm it down then these strings do the job. A smoother feel and warmer more tonally balanced set of strings than the Elixir Nanoweb phosphor bronze. Don´t be put off by the heavy white coating on the wound strings when you open them up. You don’t notice it once you get playing. As with all coated strings they will start to fray at the picking hand if you use picks or have a long ring finger nail but this doesn’t affect anything really. Great for recording.
