If you’re going for the Jazz bass tone avoid this bass. This bass is more in the Wictor Wooten style sound. It sounds very modern with snappy highs for slap. The preamp is very high quality but the pickups compliment it superbly. The licensed hipshot tuners do their job and the 0 fret nut makes the open string notes sound the same as the fretted ones. You can set a ridiculosly low action without fretbuzz on this bass. The neck pickup is far enough in the back for you to slap comfortably. And the best part - it’s feather weight! 3.8 kilograms! However mine came with the pickups wired out of phase so i had to correct that using my soldering iron, which is something to note.

All in all, a decent bass for the price! But if your going for the jazz bass tone this will not toot your horn! Fortunately I have use for it in my sonic arsenal. Would buy again!

Bought this bass after reading a lot of positive feedback, but sadly had to return product
Bass has active electronic p/us sounding very “hot” and according to my taste rather “limited”. Easy to go into distortion due to high output.
Saying this - which is kind of a rather personal impression and not everyone might agree.
But what really made the bucket tip was for a bass for close to 1K euros I can expect flawless fretwork.
Well here you can’t, I almost cut my fingers running along the underside of the neck. Frets were not dressed properly.
The quality management of cort Indonesia needs definitely to improve.
Cheaply made aiming for max profit- in minimal shop time.
