R
Worth it as an interface
Riotsounds 12.06.2024
This units audio to digital converter is as good as it gets for a 2 channel interface. I would highly reccomend this unit for voice over, podcast and voice for gaming chats. The feature to bypass the channel strip is excellent if you decide to insert high end analogue gear into the chain. The converters are excellent. For those that prefer a basic pre mix , the channel strip is all you need for your basic needs

TA
For games and general voip
Tristan A 14.10.2026
Honestly I didnt want to buy a £300 SM7b, cloudlifter etc to get nice sounding voice for streaming, gaming and general voice over stuff. I use an AKG D5 microphone and bought this Ultravoice UV1. With the compression, enhancer, gate and de-esser, it easily makes a cheaper microphone sound as good as one 4 times its price. No more messing around with audio routing to get my voice through plugins to sound good... because this is hardware, i just run my mic cable into it, and then out the back into my audio interface and all the processing is done. No extra CPU usage needed. Honestly I couldnt be happier with the product and its made a huge difference to the quality of my voice/audio when gaming with friends or doing voice over things.

Great bang for the buck
Etherik 30.12.2025
This is a great budget-friendly pre-amp for home-studio use! I've been using it as a pre for running the T-bone RB500 into my Tascam 424 MKII tape-recorder, and I am very happy with the results. A warm yet sparkly tone can be easily achieved.

Perfect if you are on a budget
DinosaursRex 04.12.2025
If you are on a budget and need a decent preamp, go for it.
I have now 2 in use, and i'm not sad about it.
Also the fact you can use them as a sound interface is really nice, for exampel a streamer on social media - just plug in you mic and plug in your usb... dail it in and go!
