I found this unit was susceptible to picking up hum from external devices - in particular my Samson rack light. In the end I had to remove the Samson unit from my splitter rack. On/off position of the link buttons is also not obvious. But hey - who can beat this for price & quality!?

Not good in my rig

I got this initially to split signals to PA and recording. Noisy so much as to make it unusable. I'm sure it's useful for something but it didn't work for me and I ended up upgrading the Ui16 to a Ui24R to record live.
