Excellent starter uke for those with big hands
Simon (UK) 01.06.2021
It's all about the wide nut, I believe most ukes in the cheaper range have a 35 or 36mm nut, just an extra 2mm gives you much needed room for playing a D chord as a beginner.

The instrument is well made and has a much warmer tone than expected from a soprano, perhaps due to the arched back. It's also a nice colour and is quite charming.

The intonation is consistent with only a slight sharpness from the 11th and 12th frets, this may be due to setup but I don't know if any mass produced laminate ukulele in this price range is going to be perfectly crafted.

The only thing about the instrument that seems poor is the edges of the saddle, they're pretty sharp with very pointed corners, but I wouldn't want to try sanding them down and risk damaging the satin finish. It's not a big problem, but it wouldn't be very nice to catch your forearm against it when strumming.

All in all, I can't fault it for the price, I think you could spend double this without finding an improvement in feel or sound, it's earnest, it's warm and it's fantastic. You wouldn't regret buying this ukulele.

Baton Rouge V2-sw

I bought this for the wider nut width (38mm). It's a standard laminate soprano but the finish and sound are far better than any I've seen in this price range. The fret ends are smooth, action is great.

Great instrument
Diveforlife 29.01.2021
I bought this beautiful Baton Rouge ukulele more than 2 years ago, after doing quite some research online.
And I can honestly say I could not be more pleased with my choice!
Warm tone, keeps tone pretty good, the slightly wider neck is a joy to play and delivery was spotless.
So in short, I definitely recommend this instrument!

Value for money

I'm only a bit part uke player....at home. Bought this for my son....but really for me! I'm a long time guitar/bass/general music player but only recently got this uke. I looked up some reviews prior to purchasing and this one stood out. The build quality is excellent, the look is super (looks very natural) and it can withstand a good deal of being left laying about!
Sounds is really nice and for someone who has relatively big hands, is quite comfortable to play. I believe that the neck is a slight bit bigger than standard and that was another reason for me to buy.
Overall, great buy and a really great price.
