If you want to use something portable to keep with you on the road, all you need is this, a 6.3mm jack, an iPad, and you're good to go. It's great cause you can plug not only your guitar, but also your bass, synth, and keyboard. Unfortunately however, the sound quality takes toll. The audio constantly goes in and out of phase, so this is not ideal for recording any serious work. I've used it for my personal work, but I had to cut a lot of the takes, and loop the sections that sounded in phase. This usually happens a few seconds after the recording starts. So after a few seconds expect the audio to thin out, and cancel itself.
PROs:
- Portable
- Easy to use
- Cheap price
- Great for beginners
CONs:
- Disappointing audio quality
- Cheap built quality
- Probably better options are available for a similar price
