There is not much left to say about the Seymour Duncan SH1. It is one of the most popular replacement pickups; especially when it is desired to replicate the well balanced sound of the the legendary PAF humbuckers of Seth Lover (the name is due to the bottom sticker "patent applied for"). For many guitarists this pickup is still the best, no screamer, it is way too classy to be that, ​​but it can sing like no other pickup. The SH 1 B59 is particularly suitable for the bridge position, especially if you want hear the guitar sound as much as possible (as said, it "sings" even with moderate distortion). Therefore, it is ideally suited for installation in Single Cut types, which innately deliver enough pressure and sustain. In those cases, a too violent pickup would rather causes damage anyways.

The (slightly louder) bridge version can also be used as neck pickup in combination with high output bridge pickups, for excellent results.

Conosco ed uso questo modello di humbucker dal 1992....credo sia tra i migliori in assoluto....perfetto per suonare ogni genere....sia in clean sia in distorsione la sua resa è sempre di alta qualità.

Je cherchais à remplacer un SH4 en chevalet, qui ne correspondait pas à ma guitare pour moi, bien qu'étant une monte d'origine. J'ai eu des retours positifs sur le SH1. Donc je me suis lancé (premier micro que je changeais sur une gratte), et je n'ai pas été déçu : le son est plus rock, plus rond, mais pas mou du genou par rapport au SH4, et il correspond bien à ce que j'attendais de ma gratte au final.
Par contre attention lors de la commande, car le nombre de fils n'est pas indiqué (1 fil/2 fils/ 4 fils) et j'ai un la surprise de recevoir un modèle 1 fil. ce n 'était pas un problème, mais pour ceux qui cherchent un installation plus complexe avec split de micro ça risque de poser un problème.
Aussi la photo ne correspond pas au produit, car le micro reçu était sans logo SD ! J'ai effacé celui du micro restant sur la gratte et je n'ai pas eu à renvoyer celui là, mais ça peut être gênant
