Yamaha TRBX 174EW RB

I would like to clarify that I purchased this Bass as a total beginner, wanting to learn how to play and I will review it as such.

The bass arrived at a perfect condition and in tune. Given its price I couldn't believe its quality, although I had some minor issues with the J pickup that didn't sound good something that was fixed with some setting.

The bass is beautiful and nicely balanced but above all I found its neck really comfortable and it delivers a nice tone in both pickups.

It certainly needed a set up, but as a beginner I didn't notice it. After one year I took it to a luthier, he did his magic and the bass now is even better. Even he, who makes basses for a living, was really impresses when I told him the price of the instrument.

TLDR: Really reccomended for a beginner player. Most beautiful bass in the world!

I have played bass for a few years now and one day i thought that i had become pretty good at playing bass, so i felt like i wanted to "upgrade" to a new bass when my skills now had become better.

This is the bass that got my attention. Its nice finish, beautiful color and good price really convinced me to buy this bass. When i got the bass it came in good condition and...i was so amazed by its looks, quality and sound! It feels very comfortable to play, doesnt weight too much and it got a nice and smooth maple neck which makes it easy for you to reach all the frets fast and good.

The things that could have been better with this bass is the features and sound. The features got no volume control. Not a big deal, but its always good to have a volume control. The sound was not as heavy as i thought it would be, but it was still worth all the money! I recommend this bass to all beginners and those who have played for a longer time. Achetée pour mes débuts sur l'instrument, cette basse est un vrai plaisir à jouer!

Reçue bien emballée, finition impeccable, j'ai procédé à quelques réglages dans les jours suivants (manche et action) pour l'ajuster, et depuis elle me satisfait tous les jours.

Les deux micros ont leur personnalité propre, les potentiomètres répondent bien même s'ils sont d'un aspect un peu léger, le son me convient amplement.

Je l'utilise actuellement sur un petit combo warwick 20 watts ou au casque avec un zoom B1four, pour mes séances de travail quotidiennes.

Je n'aurais pas peur de l'utiliser sur scène si je le devais. Certes son prix et ses caractéristiques très basiques lui valent une réputation de basse "pour débutant", mais ce coté simple constitue une qualité plutôt qu'un défaut pour qui veut se concentrer sur son jeu.

Je mets la note maximale parce que compte tenu de son prix, je ne vois pas ce qu'on pourrait reprocher à un instrument d'une telle qualité.
