Viscount Legend Pedalboard 25

Just set this pedalboard up and it works flawlessly.

I am triggering either an analog bass synth, or a 16' draw bar on the Hammond IK Multimedia B3X plug in. It works well with both. As one reviewer mentioned, the pedals have a shallow depth trigger point, but I liked that.

They feel solid and are not noisy ambiently. The included expression pedal has a nice throw range of motion and works well. It's a nice larger size pedal for my size 14 foot.

It has a shorter white pedal note length so I have to play it without a shoe on to play toe to heal for the white notes only. But there is room to do that. The spring, pedal repeat is pretty fast.

I will add a custom built heal rest for resting my heal and playing the "thump" Jimmy Smith quarter note same pedal jazz style.

Great value compared to say the $2,500 Hammond Midi pedals in the US. And also better than the lesser quality smaller pedalboards. I think you will like these.

I had a 24 note pedalboard made by JG3 tech (his pedalboards are nice, but do not feel realistic enough). Had it for a year. Then I went to my musician friends home and played his 25 note Viscount pedalboard along with his Nord C2D and let’s just say after playing it it caused me to budget for a few months because i just had to get one myself. This pedalboard is amazing. Came in today and i’m very pleased. If you’re in need of a bench I recommend buying a foldable bench from JG3 tech. It fits this pedalboard nicely!!

L'objet est d'apparence plutôt spartiate.
Il semble robuste, le cadre métallique est très rigide.
On ne lui demande pas de qualités esthétiques, mais sous le "stand" en noyer et le banc en chêne, la peinture martelée noire dénote un peu.
Les touches sont précises et un peu dures au début. Elles rebondissent facilement si le toucher n'est pas assez affirmé.
Sont-elles réglables dans le boitier côté talon?
Il faudra quelques heures d'usage avec des chaussettes en tissus rugueux pour leur donner le poli qui permet de "glisser" dans les traits joués en "pointe et talon".
L'éventail de ce pédalier est très marqué, il déroutera un peu les habitués des pédaliers "liturgiques" et il faut avoir le "pied fin", mais on s'y fait !!!
Un très mauvais point pour pour la pédale d'expression livrée avec le pédalier. Construite en plastique de qualité très moyenne, elle n'a aucune progressivité. Après réglage, la fluidité du mouvement est acceptable, sans plus. Le switch latéral qui peut commander le Leslie (ou autre chose) est une lame de plastique dur et peu précis, protégé par une simple feuille de fibre cartonnée.
Aucun problème pour la raccordement MIDI, Chanel 3 et hop, ça marche, y compris "en tirasse" sur l'un ou l'autre clavier manuel.
En conclusion, ce pédalier "fait le job" honnêtement pour son prix.

Mise à jour mars 2021 :
Après 3 ans et demi, première faiblesse sur le Ré2, dont le contact demande une pression plus forte, et cela de façon aléatoire.
A priori, il ne semble pas que le pédalier ait "avalé" un débris quelconque, le soufflage à l'air comprimé n'a rien fait ressortir.
Le pédalier n'a jamais été transporté pour la scène ou les concerts.
Si c'est une faiblesse de contact au vieillissement, il faut espérer que le problème ne va pas s'étendre, rendant le talon-pointe très difficile ...
A suivre après démontage.

The pedal board has a nice finish. Unfortunately, the expression pedal appears to be of inferior quality, but it can be replaced if problems arise.

I also play various church organs as well as my electronic Johannus Classic 350 with full pedal. All of these have a faster response to activation of a pedal. This means that on the Viscount board the switch is only closed when the pedal is almost at the bottom, and you have to get used to that.

This applies to all 25 pedals, but especially A1 is late. At the moment I'm experimenting with putting small wooden blocks under the board to raise it a bit, and thus get a better action. It seems to help. So far I am very happy with it and have not regretted my purchase. I would have given it 5 stars if the action had been faster
