The interface is pretty sturdy and nicely build. It has almost all the features I was looking for. The only thing that was quite a let down was the noice floor of the pre-amps and the outputs for the monitors.
If I had my monitors plugged into a Scarlett interface, I didn't have any buzzing sounds come through the speakers, but when I used the Swissonic interface there was a slight hissing sound that I couldn't get rid off. It got even worse when I switched the monitor switch to mono/stereo instead of off (that switch is for direct monitoring). The sound from the pre-amps was pretty noticeable.
Otherwise the interface was quite nice, the fact that you get a monitor output + headphone output, both with independent level control is amazing. For the money you also get 2 combo inputs with separate hi-z for each pre-amp. You can't turn on 48V separately for each pre-amp but this is found in even more expensive interfaces, so I can't complain about it.
I would say that this is a pretty amazing option for a beginner or if you just want to tinker a bit with music, like producing a song or two. But after you get used with the industry and you decide that you wish to do more high quality stuff, I would recommend to switch to a more industry standard interface like Scarlett which is a tiny bit more money than the Swissonic, but you get much better audio quality.
