Source Audio SA 168 MIDI Adapter

If you have a MIDI controller and need to control one of the SA's One series pedals, then this adapter will do its job. However, there are a few things I really don't like and most have been mentioned by other buyers:

First of all, the fact that they put a female 5-pin connector on one side, which means that aside from the two cables on each side, you need at least one more cable to connect to a female output port on a controller. This is just ridiculous, for this price they could have included a male 5-pin option or a 3.5mm which works in my case.

Of course, the fact that their pedals need this adapter in the first place is already bad enough, but another hilarious thing is the 'THRU' port on the adapter, which many would mistakenly (but rightly so) think gives you an option to use this adapter with two SA pedals, but it is NOT the case.

Anyway, all in all it is working fine now that I have actually bought a cable with a 3.5mm jack on both sides, and am sending MIDI control out of my Morningstar MIDI controller to a SA Atlas Compressor which is an outstanding pedal and I am only giving this product 4 stars because that compressor is worth paying extra money to get the MIDI usability.
