Weird rack mount position

The way the this unit is rack mountable is very weird. I expected the rack ears would attach facing the same way as the antenna, but they attach in the middle of the unit facing down. This means that the unit takes 2U space in the rack instead of 1U, and that is if you don't take into account the cables.

Other than that I am very pleased with the unit, the paring with the RX is very easy and the sound and build quality are very good. The mono stereo switch can come in handy if you want to check the phase of some cables or if you only get audio on one side. It also has both balanced and unbalanced inputs.

Am cumpărat pentru a fi folosit între consola DJ și Rack unde am mixerul. Sunet foarte ok, manipulare ușoară, o mică observație legat de faptul că afectează semnalul wifi microfon dacă este prea aproape de transmiter.

Bought as a pair, receiver and transmitter. Arrived from Germany a short while ago, plugged in setup and works perfectly.

I especially like the stereo mono switch, ideal for checking wiring phasing.

The EU to UK adapters were provided free by Thomann, they are much better than expected and unobtrusive.

I am exceptionally pleased with these units and can recommend them for a wireless performance..

Great for home use, installations & garden parties

This is a great system for transmitting streams, MP3s etc. at home, in bars, larger rooms etc. or outdoors where cabling is not an option. The build quality is good and robust, the opportunity to use balanced or unbalanced connectors is great. Pairing works virtually immediately; volume controls on both devices allow you to tweak the signal level to get perfect sound. The stereo to mono switch on the transmitter works effectively without phasing issues, and the stereo spread is reproduced faithfully.
I tested the system in my apartment. The transmitter was in the living room; the first test had the receiver and stereo speaker in the kitchen- one room over, but a wall and two open doors between. Worked like a charm! For the second test I went upstairs; the distance was probably around 15 meters. Transmission worked fine until I went behind a free-standing closet, which I would perceive as typical for 5.8 GHz performance and not to be blamed on the device itself - with 17ms latency and transmission at that frequency, this is not what you want for live music or rooms with many obstacles between transmitter and receiver. Within the framework mentioned in the heading, this setup offers solid performance.
