Rode HS2-P Large

I've used headset mics for years as I hire radio mic equipment to local schools, theatres and amateur dramatic companies. I've been through all sorts of low cost headsets trying to find one that sounds decent and will last for more than one hire to a school. Many come back bent, cables broken, parts missing, failed due to sweat, or just not sounding as they should any more. It's not always possible to charge the hirer the full replacement value as we value future hires.
I can't afford the likes of Countryman or DPA and have been looking for something that's better sounding and more robust than the cheapies, but not in the £500 region of the industry standard ones. So that's the rationale.
I bought 2 to try on a fairly high profile show, with professional singers, and they didn't disappoint. The talent said they were very comfortable and easy to adjust, and I found I got a good sound with less severe eq cuts than I had to make with cheap headsets. It was defined and crisp, and didn't distort event with a very powerful soprano singer.
The only downer is that I use JTS and Shure beltpack transmitters, so I had to cut the 3.5mm jack off and solder on a mini XLR connector.

Auf der Suche nach einem Headset das preislich und klanglich irgendwie zwischen den Tbone Headmike und dem Sennheiser HSP2 liegt und mit Sennheiser Bodypacks gut funktioniert. Leider gibt es hier kaum Auswahl. Die dezent aussehenden Headsets sind nur mit Umbau kompatibel.

Endlich habe ich es gefunden:
- geringe Feedbackanfälligkeit
- ausgewogener Frequenzgang (für Gesang und Sprache)
- sehr geringes Gewicht
- sehr gut verstellbar
- funktioniert top mit Sennheiser SK100 Bodypack
- das Kabel macht keine Geräusche

Am Kabel hängt ein kleiner Hinweis zum Strangulationsrisiko, das Kabel ist Kevlar verstärkt. Auf jeden Fall macht es einen sehr stabilen Eindruck.

Der einzige negative Punkt den man anführen kann, ist dass die Überwurfmutter am Stecker nicht frei läuft, sondern auf einem Gewinde. Daher muss man die Mutter immer ganz zum Kabel hinschrauben, dann den Stecker einstecken und dann die Mutter aufschrauben. Dann sitzt die Verbindung bombenfest.

Ce micro de chez Rode fait partit d'un des rare à être discret avec une aussi bonne qualité sonore.
Les voix sont très bien retranscrites, avec une présence des bruits de fonds très réduites, celui-ci en faits donc l'outil parfait pour des conférences, ou bien même des lives.
Également le fait qu'il soit compatible avec le kit Rode Wireless Go (1 et 2), DJI MIC ou encore le kit HF Sennheiser sw (le filetage est compatible) le rend très pratique et permet de rendre l'interlocuteur libre de mouvements.
La seule crainte que j'ai, c'est la solidité dans le temps, la tige sur laquelle est le micro est très rigide ce qui empêche que le micro bouge mais j'ai peur que par une mauvaise manipulation celle-ci se casse.
En tout cas à aujourd'hui c'est un investissement que je recommande pour les petites et moyenne production.
Par la suite je vous conseillerais, d'investir dans du matériel DPA.

Correctif après 3 ans :
Après une prestation l'un des artiste à poser le micro et son émetteur (sennheiser) par terre, le cable du micro s'est retrouver en angle droit et a casser le cuivre dans la connectique jack, ce qui est assez fou car on en prend soin.
Et rode à eu la bonne idée de mettre un cable très très fin donc compliqué de réparer celui-ci. (On a ressouder un connecteur et le son est horrible donc produit à jeter)
Donc bon micro globalement mais très fragile.
