Just what the doctor ordered
Tzortzis 15.06.2021
Just awesome.
Used it on a cheap P-BASS and there it was, the sound i've been looking for my whole life.
Oh and they are versatile.
I actually found them even more versatile than the clingy dreadful roundwound strings that are dead and of no use after 2 months of serious swetty playing.
La Bella lasted for over a year of professional concert, live streaming and studio gigs.
I'll never go back.

Nice (albeit expensive) flatwounds
Martin6712 22.10.2014
In my hunt for the perfect flatwound I've tried these La Bella's, Fender 9050s and D'Addario Chromes.

Overall there's not much to choose between the three - the biggest change is the jump from roundwound to flatwound (where I have a strong preference for the smooth, effortless slides flatwounds offer). The La Bella's are noticeably "stiffer" in that there's less tendency for them to dip between the frets (I guess this is some combination of requiring higher tension and perhaps the string construction just being a bit more rigid).

On balance I suspect I'll stick with the D'Addario Chromes in the long-run - tonally I've a slight preference for them (and they're also a bit cheaper)! But the La Bella's are a very close second.

The go to for P Bass
Tomate P 03.01.2019
This are the only strings my vintage Fender P bass has seen in the last six years and it'll stay that way. It's a perfect match. The sound is punchy yet velvety and rich. No sustain whatsoever, which is great to fit perfectly in the mix!
No need to replace them, in fact the older they get the better they sound. It takes a few weeks to break them in, but after that you'll love them!

Too high tension
Martsie 23.07.2022
Be aware that the tension is super high which makes playing really hard. I experience these strings feel sticky, I would recommend the sound, but not playability, I would like to try to .103 strings…

Edit: after a while I can say I got used to these. Tension still quite high, but it plays super slick!
