i think that Elixir strings are the best compare to others brands, because you pay more fore strings that will last longer and will conserve a fresh sound. I have this strings on my Fender Jazz Bass for 5 months already and the slap sounds brighter and new, just like in the first day when I put them on. I think I won't change them in the next 3 months, because they are not even rusty or dirty. I advice taking care of them with a string cleaner solution for preserve them for getting old

Not much to say about these, they surely sound great on a Music Man StingRay bass! 5 stars!

Nice sounding strings
skudra 13.08.2017
I was sceptical at first about all the fuss that was going on about these strings but thought about giving them a try. I am very satisfied and returned to them again.
At first they feel a little bit slippery and have that trebly metallic new string sound like any other new strings but of course it goes away after few weeks or days(depends on how much you play)and it stays with a very nice punchy and bright sound for a long time. I took the last ones off after playing them for one and a half year. They actually still sounded pretty good but the coating was starting to come off and they did not feel so good to play anymore.
I don't think that there is something "out of this world" about them sound-wise - they have a pretty typical roundwound string sound(after they are broken in) only with less sliding noise but the the main point is that they last longer in their fresh state and it is definitely worth it to pay more for that.
