Amazing bass, not great QC

I’ll start with the good points.
Beautiful guitar, looks awesome feels even better. Very lightweight and very well balanced. Body is very small but that isn’t a bad thing. I find it far more comfortable as I’m more used to playing an SG anyway which is is anything larger. The neck feels incredible. Smooth and fast and honestly one of the best necks on any guitar or bass I’ve ever felt. Fretboard being ebony looks sleek with no inlays and again feels great. The Seymour Duncan pickup sounds fantastic. Massive sound and incredibly clear. Achieving any type of tone I need while punching well above its weight in sound quality. Tuners do their job and hold tune pretty well but don’t feel like anything special. Bridge is solid and does its job. Action out of the box was pretty good but a setup was needed (but that’s what you expect anyway) all black hardware is a very cool touch and adds the the sexiness of it.
Now for the bad points.
Fret ends were ok but not great, not a big deal more of an annoyance.
What was a big deal to me is the paintwork around the screws for the neck is all chipped. It’s out of the way and only small but this isn’t really acceptable when you compare it to cheaper basses, like Harley Benton, who usually don’t have issues like this for a far lower price.
I had oxidisation on the saddles that have the exposed metal. Considering this is a new guitar again this is totally unacceptable. This again is easily fixed but this seems to be poor QC from Gibson which I’ve seen before on Epiphone guitars.
Frets need polishing but again a minor issue.
Despite these issues this is an awesome bass and if the QC wasn’t an issue I would have very little if nothing to say wrong about this bass. If they can solve the QC issues this would be a 5 star bass all day long.
