This is one of the coolest things I ever bought. (I'm easy pleased...LOL!) But seriously. I bought these because I was fed up with all the screwing on & off of mics in the studio & at gigs. I thought they would speed up the process, boy was I right.

First, it comes in 2 parts. The quality is extremely rugged and solid and the matt-black finish will fit with any stand. First part has a 3/8 internal thread and fits on the end of the mic stand. It has a retractable spring-loaded part in the middle. This is the locking mechanism.

The second part, a nipple (LOL! Yep I said nipple), Has a 3/8 external thread and fits into the socket on the microphone clip. Once both are fitted, all you do is retract the spring part on the stand, place the mic clip against it and release. You may need to twist ever so slightly to get it to lock into place. You can buy this item on its own (MS QC 1 TB) so you can fit one to every mic clip you have. Unfortunately you cannot buy the main chassis on it's own. It would be helpful if you could.

This thing is easy as hell to use. I laughed when I opened the box, because there is an instruction leaflet. If you need to read this, you should probably be considering another career. Time will only tell if the spring lock mechanism stands up to rigorous use & abuse. But I don't care. I'm gonna buy another 4 or 5 of these & keep a couple in the drawer.

They are fantastic value at the price & the nipples are cheap as chips!

I use these in my home studio to simplify mic changes and experimentation - it beats having to screw off & on various mic mounts if you want to swap out mics. Construction is top-notch and it's easy to use. About the only down side is you need to buy the a coupler (sold separately; this is the base for the stand) for each mount in order to get the most out of the system.

Bought 3 of these for my stage set up. Use one to attach boom to upright and the others to attach two different mics to boom. The whole lot clicks together in seconds - no more endless screwing or frustration trying to get the boom and upright threads to mate! As a bonus I can swap mics on the boom so fast it can be done seamlessly between songs. Extremely well made too. Very happy!
