If you are willing to sacrifice a bit of the fatness of more traditional, hight-gauge strings, it is worth trying these out. I love their playability though, and I highly recommend them for solos, more complex acoustic riffs and so on, rather than just simple strumming. All in all, you will find in these a pair of strings to count on, especially if you are into consistent soloing and riffing, or if you consider bending a lot, "shredding" and so on on an acoustic, but you might end up being a little bit disappointed when it comes to the overall sound they produce.
