Maybe just not my taste

I was shocked to be dissapointed. I've read a lot about getting a new epiphone and maybe I had been influenced by some people who said the new guitars feel cheap - but I didn't care about that, I thought they were just being demanding/picky. Although this guitar really feels cheap.

Feels like plastic over-all. And eventhough people say the new probuckers are totally giggable, I find them not. They are super low-output and even though i didnt want or expect something higt out-put, these are much too low. They also sound very boring, dull. Single notes have no attack, no feeling to them. Chors sound somewhat decent.

It could be a great guitar for a starting player, but i still feel the price isnt fair and maybe we should be looking at 150E, maybe 200E less.

Pros:
The rotomatic locking tuners are great, the frets are unpolished, but totally playable. Intonation is good from the box. Plays well, although the action could be lowered from the bridge, i dont know who plays like this on a modern. Good nut.

Neutral:
The combination of colors back to front looks really good, but not from up-close.
The pickups are indeed playable, but that's just all. They are very dull.

Cons:
The finish looks like plastic from close and feels like pure plastic when touched. There are signs and slight small marks of bad craftmanship. I had some slight tear into the margins of the fretboard. Over-all a feeling of cheap plastic.

Guitar came with cracked neck

For the second time I have received the guitar with the cracked neck, in the both sides of the neck, right under the nut and first fret, where the Les Pauls are most sensitive. First time it was probably only lacquer. The second time the crack was even larger, so it is possible that also wood was affected. The guitar was still playable, but I didn't want to risk it, so I returned it twice in a row. I am not sure, if I would like to re-order it after two failed attempts.
Besides the cracks, the guitar was very good, no other issues. Sound-wise it is almost identical with my Gibson Les Paul Traditional 2016. I probably couldn't tell the difference if I only listened to both of them.

I owe some expensive guitars, I was suprised to see that the intonation is so good just out of the box, even though I found that Yambawhen struming I have to adjust the lower 2 strings up just a little bit. wonderful guitar
