Must have strings for any short/medium scale bass!

I bought these strings for my Squier Mustang Bass an they are great strings. I prefer the sound of Ernie Ball strings but they don't make short scale strings so I bought these instead. If you have a short scale bass but the strings go through the body then get these as the short scale D'addario strings will not be long enough. Thomann had the cheapest price online on these strings and of course extremely fast delivery! Would highly recommend

Great strings

These strings were recommended to me by a fellow musician for use on my short scale bass. I like a bright but powerful tone and these strings give me that also they keep the brightness longer than other strings I've used. For the foreseeable future I will be using these on my basses. I play jazz, funk, ran band reggae and they are versatile enough to give me the right tones for my needs. They are a bit rough to the touch when new but with regular playing that goes in about a week.

Good all-round strings

These are my go-to, week to week strings. They don't hold their tone for as long as others but they give a great sound for about three weeks of heavy playing. Nice punchy sound for all styes - particularly pick and slap.
