Preamp
Restores the missing body sound on an instrument when a piezo pickup is used
ToneDexter stores WaveMaps of your studio microphone sound, which can be recalled when only the pickup is in use
WaveMaps transform the pickup signal so that it sounds like a microphone - rich, resonant and natural
WaveMaps can be saved with different microphones and positions for each of the instruments used
32 Storable presets, tuner and USB port for connecting to the computer for updates and managing presets

A great step in improving acoustic sound via pick-ups

Really nicely built unit with a great display. It take a little research to learn how to use but the basics are very intuitive and are pretty much plug and play. Worth noting you will get a better result if 1. You have access to a high quality mic, and 2) you pick up is a piezo (not magenetic). All in all, a great pre amp, with the added IR technology and the ability to blend mic and pick up signals if you want to

Nach einigem Überlegen und weil ich den ToneDexter 1 bereits besitze, habe ich mir die neuer Version nun doch bestellt. Ich bin gut vertraut mit hochwertigen Preamps, benutze meistens einen Grace Felix auf der Bühne für akustische Gitarre, Mandoline, Dobro, Bouzouki, Banjo, Weissenborn.
Nach genauem Studium des Manuals war ich dann letzlich von dem Mehrwert dieses Geräts überzeugt - und wurde nicht enttäuscht. Die Vielfalt an Möglichkeiten ist phänomenal, noch nie wurde ein Akustik-Preamp so sorgfältig durchdacht und bedienerfreundlich konzipiert. Da wurde wirklich an alles und noch viel mehr gedacht - Chapeau ! Die digitalen IR ("wavemap") sind leicht zu erstellen, maßgeschneidert für das jeweilige Instrument, geben dem Tonabnehmersignal natürlich klingende Anteile hinzu (stufenlos zu regeln). Höchstbewertung verdient, 4 von 5 Punkten ist beinahe unfähr, aber der Klang meines Grace Felix wirkt in Nuancen detaillierter - aber da jammere ich jetzt wirklich auf allerhöchstem Niveau.

Las guitarras con pickup sonarán naturales

Me ha encantado este producto. Gracias a este pedal las guitarras y cualquier instrumento acústico (guitarras, bajos, ukeleles, violínes, etc) puede sonar lo más parecido a su sonido natural. Aún estoy haciendo pruebas para conseguir el mejor sonido, pero la calidad del sonido en los directos es notable.

Work well for my banjo

I was looking for a way to amplify my banjo rk-35 without a mic while keeping a natural accoustic sound. Bought a Schatten BJ02 and a pre-amp with eq, but did not manage to get a tone close to a natural banjo sound. I heard about the Tonedexter 2 and decided to give it a try. Now my banjo amplified sounds pretty close to the sound of the banjo amplified with a microphone.The pedal is easy to use and has tons of tweaking options. A good mic is important in creating the wavemap. I trier a couple of dynamic microphones like the sm57 without good success. The company producting the tonedexter recommends a condenser microphone with small diaphragm (or large diaphragm can also work) and that is what worked for me, thanks to a friend a I could borrow it from (Røde mic)
