I've been using Warwick red labels for a while and I'm pleased. The tone is great, they feel comfortable, most of the sets I've used have lasted months without breaking but the freshness goes away after no more than a week or two of extensive playing. Still, for strings this cheap they go above and beyond.

Since I'm playing a Human Base Jonas sixstring bass, I'm always looking for good and especially affordable strings. First time I tried these strings, I thought "man they are really tough to play" and that is a common trade in all Warwick strings I tried so far. Once you play them for a while, you will get a feeling of good control and precise articulation from your instrument, based on the strings.
Generally they add some "punch" in the mid-frequencies which could be annoying if your bass already has a tendency to boost those. If you don't like the mids, just try the sound in a band context ;-)
The Jonas is my main bass and gets played a lot - the average lifetime of the strings is around 3-4 month for me.
