Overdrive
With 5 selectable modes -- each with its own basic overdrive sound
Internal gain setting and clipping style (LED/silicon) varies depending on mode
Mode 1: Low gain with silicone soft clipping (compressed soft sound)
Mode 2: Low gain with LED soft clipping (open, lively sound)
Mode 3: High gain with silicone soft clipping (tighter sound with more saturation)
Mode 4: High gain with LED soft clipping (saturated sound, "punchy" and "big")
Mode 5: High gain with silicone hard clipping (fat, compressed sound)
Bass controls "cut" or "boost" of the low frequencies before the overdrive circuit
Treble control dampens high frequencies
Can be used with any pickup configuration due to effective bass and treble control
Controls: Vol, dry, gain, bass, treble
Dry signal can be added proportionally via "Dry"
True bypass design
Ports located on top
Stacks very well with other drive pedals

Versatile little distortion and OD pedal

I won‘t get into nuances of whether this is an OD a distortion or whatever. What it does well is provide 5 flavors of drive ranging from light and open to tight and compressed, with a good ability to control tone as well. I use it into a Catalinbread 5f6 and it drives that nicely. Going straight into a clean Blackstar 5 watt, it also shines. It won‘t replace my Iron Horse which does a searing RAT impression. But I could pretty much live with that, the Ages, and clean boost.

The Overdrive you need

If you're like me and you play guitar you want and need an overdrive pedal. We all nod our heads in sage agreement to this fact.

The Ages is green, it's an overdrive, you know where we are going at this point. But if you are in the business of varying your sound often then this is the overdrive pedal you should get. Goes from tame to fierce and pushes tube amps exactly how you think it should. The dry mix is really cool to have and plays nicely with other pedals. I have the Eons fuzz before this and it tames it and creates a mammoth sound, rather fitting of the graphic on the pedal. The downside in handling is the controls can be fiddly when volume leveling and fixing high and low end between modes.

In conclusion, if you can afford the price and will get mileage out of it buy this pedal. It looks good and will do a lot for you if you're looking for a versatile piece of kit.

Extremely versatile OD pedal

This is now my go-to OD pedal on my board for gigs, recording and practice. Sounds Fantastic! This pedal has is own sound, seems rare now for a pedal to have it's own sound rather than being a clone.

Pros: Versatile, 5 clipping options, Dry mix knob, compact, well built.
Cons: None!

Before buying I watched tons of videos on this pedal and honestly they don't do it justice. Unfortunately its almost impossible to test equipment for yourself these days because of Covid-19 but trust me, if you like how it sounds on videos, it will sound infinitely better once you play it for yourself! :)

Nice variety of tones

I spent a couple of weeks really familiarizing myself with this pedal and testing out all the tone combinations, both by itself and together with some other pedals, in order to make sure I was getting my money's worth.

The tones are great, and there's plenty of variety to be found between the 5 modes, however I can't say that the price-tag is justified, unfortunately, and I also get the impression that it is a jack of some trades but master of none. It never has found a permanent place on my board, as there is always some other pedal that does what I want better.
