Thomann Classic TF525 GL, an overall great instrument
I've been using this product for 6 months now, and I have to say I'm really satisfied with it. I've always been a hobby trombonist, so I've got no experience in reviewing instruments, but comparing to what I've played on so far, I gotta say this is a fine one.
So first of all, the design is great, love the rose gold, makes the instrument eye-catching.
As for the technicalities: Everything works well, except for maybe the slide. It gives a scracthy noise even when I lubricate it well. I've tried different ways to lubricate it, with similar results. But I guess you can't have everything perfect on trombone this cheap. And the tuning slides were a bit stuck when it first arrived, but over time it got easier to use them.
Other than these, the instrument has a nice sound, the case is absolutely fantastic, really versatile, however the instrument only fits in, when the tuning slide is fully pushed in. And I would like if future thomann product cases had a larger outer holder, at least for an A4 sheet of paper to fit.
Other than the minor details I've mentioned, the trombone does the job it needs to, and I would honestly recommend it to mostly beginners, but also experienced trombone players alike.
