I bought these beater more for practising at home, since I am living in an apartment, which means there are noise issues. The beater brings a considerable reduction in the noise and allows for a good rebound feeling when hitting the bass pad. I could have the feeling of playing with a beater that originally comes with the pedals, just some times with more rebound. However, if using this beater in a double pedal should be taken into consideration the size of the pad, or might have the risk of the hits not being felt by the triggers. I bought this beater to play with less noise on my drum set. I think the product is aimed at mesh head kick pads, in order to decrease the damage done to the mesh, but this beater did the trick for me. The reverb from the kick drum has increased, the speed of drumming has increased and the overall noise coming from the kick pad is less.
