this little controller is fantastic for controlling single lights or sets of lights in master slave mode
I normally use a fully computer software controlled system for my dmx but when im doing small dj setups this controller comes in to its own I use it to control either my acme impossibled or my four chauvet mini spot moving heads in master slave mode
this little controller comes with a massive amount of lead which if fantastic so you can reach your lights with it
it gives you basic control over your lights what control you get varies depending on the lights internal programing but you get a blackout, strobe and can change between your lights inbuilt programs.
if you only run your lights in master slave this controller will give you that extra edge of control
over all these are an excellent controller at an excellent price well worth keeping a couple in your kit bag

Not really useful
I bought this controller because I was unaware of the DMX capabilities of my fixture. This controller offers basic controls, not so great build quality, and the long wire is also quite annoying. However, if DMX is not an option for you, I think it could be a cheap solution to get limited control over your fixture. Like little house party or something, but I would not purchase this for anything more serious than that.
Buy a proper DMX controller! ;)

doesnt do at all what I want it to do
This controller doesn't do at all what I expected. it is very limited and I am using it with the Stairville 1500W strobe lights but they don't respond in time, or then they just keep flashing, etc...
I suggest buy another controller for the strobes since this doesn't do the job at all... also the instructions that came with it tell you nothing about the product.

Stairville Pocket-Master I
These are really handy for remote control of stage / disco lights. I use mine with Stairville HL-40 and it works very well, especially as the HL-40's don't have an on / off switch so they make sense for doing a blackout at the end of a performance. Especially if your lights are up high out of reach.
The LED light on it is pretty handy for confirming what you're doing. Easy and quick to plug in and requires no extra power.
My only criticism would be that the lead is too long! It's a ridiculous! I cut mine down and rejoined it to save having cable everywhere!

Good replacement for the original UC3-controller
This controller works as the original UC3-controller for ADJ lights as well as for Strairville products. It doesn´t have the same build quality as ADJ-products, but it does the job. Reasonable alternative to dmx for lights with some features.

When you don't want to use need DMX there's this!
This is a neat little hand-held controller with a long control lead. I've tried a couple of IRC [infra-red controller] and must confess without success.
Used this to control two Stairville scanners. The instructions weren't very helpful but soon got the hang of using it.
The most used function was blackout but being able to change speed and mode also useful.
If you don;t want to get into DMX and want some control over your lighting fixtures then this is definitely worth considering.

Handy controller
An essential bit of kit to control a Stairville DMX scanner making it a more flexible light than running it solely on sound to light without going to the complexities of DMX operation, enables you to change lighting effects or put light on stand by between songs or if you want to create variation during your sets.
