Build: Smaller than I expected, but they're weighty and seem really solid. High-pass and pad switches are recessed, you need a screwdrivers or something to switch them - kinda annoying, but it makes sense. They're not going to get knocked accidentally.

Sound: I've tried them on acoustic guitar and as drum overheads - they're natural and clean sounding. Feels like there's a small bump in the highs, but it's just enough to add a little sparkle, there's no harshness or ice-pickiness.

Overall, they're really nice mics. Getting a matched set at this price is great, though I wish they came with a case (I'd happily pay a little extra). Great upgrade if you've got some cheapo overheads.

Je nach gewünschtem Klang war das ok, aber nicht immer so, wie ich mir das vorstellte. Ich war immer etwas skeptisch, ob ein günstiges Paar Kleinmembraner einen Unterschied zu meinem bisherigen Setup machen würde - jetzt musste ich es jedoch probieren.

Um es kurz zu machen: Der Unterschied ist riesig.

Durch Phantomspeisung brauchen die SE7 deutlich weniger Gain als das SM57, was an meine Focusrite fast immer alles verlangte, was ging.

Im Vergleich zu einem SM57 ist der Klang so viel deutlicher, klarer und direkter, das ich es bereute, diesen Schritt nicht eher getan zu haben.
Auch im Vergleich zu meinem Röhren-Großmembraner zeigt sich ein charakteristisch so anderer Klang, das man wirklich versteht, warum Mikrofone ihren eigenen Einsatzbereich haben.
Aufnahmen klingen, vor allem bei Stereoaufnahmen, sehr natürlich und lassen sich sehr gut bearbeiten.

Die Verarbeitung ist makellos, beide Mikrofone sind tadellos, auch der Popschutz, falls man ihn braucht, ist absolut nutzbar. Beide Mikrofone sind auf einander angepasst.

Die Schalter sind gut platziert und können nicht versehentlich umgestellt werden - finde ich durchdacht und gut.

Alles in allem ist dieses Paar absolut empfehlenswert. Jeder, der so etwas ausprobieren möchte, kann bedenkenlos zugreifen. In dem Preisbereich wahrscheinlich für Home-Recorder extra empfehlenswert.
