When fitted to the violin they feel great in the hand, brilliant ergonomics. The only reason quality is slightly lower is because when shaping these they can sometimes take a little more sanding and careful shaping to ensure the wood finishes nicely - this is all down to the quality of the wood. That being said, for this price and quality, I cant be fussy over such small things, as they are still strong and beautiful pegs that just take an extra 10 mins of sanding to make perfect! The little details are great, especially when matched with a tailpiece and endpin to match. I would recommend these - this is the third set I have bought for violins I'm renovating, 9 months on from the first ones and they are as good as the day I got them.
