Solid and light
I bought this board to replace an older PedalTrain which had had an unfortunate encounter with a family of mice!
The board is aluminium, which is light but very well put together. I very much doubt this is going to break under your feet, and it won't break your back carrying to a gig (although obviously most of the weight is in the pedals!).
Supplied velcro is enough to cover the entire board, and secures pedals pretty well, no need for any stronger fixings.
Gaps between the rails are useful for cable management and don't interfere too much with most pedals, although small things like aux switches can be inclined to fall in the gaps - for those I cut backing pieces and screwed them through the rails rather than using the velcro.
Unlike the older models the back (facing your audience) of the board is open, so you've got more choice when it comes to routing cables from the back or mounting power supplies. The older models had particular places you had to position the PSU to get the mains cable in, the new ones like this don't have this problem.
The soft case seems robust, although I've not done too many gigs with it yet. Reinforced corners and a reasonable amount of padding - it's no hard case, but as long as you're not expecting it to protect your pedal board from having a PA system stacked on it in your van it's plenty of protection.

Love this pedal board
Love this pedalboard but I wish I bought it with the hard case. Now it's a nightmare to find it separately. Otherwise, the pedalboard is great, no issues. The soft case started falling apart pretty soon after the purchase but then it probably was overloaded by me. Basically, if you plan to use this board a lot and have lots of pedals, invest in the set with the hard case. If it is for an ocasional gig, this case would work great (and it's a lot lighter!)

Neat little thing
Being a Bassist, this was bought with the intention of taking up minimal space on stage whilst comfortably spacing 4-5 pedals. To start, the build quality of the frame was ok, a few rough edges but nothing to sue over (!), applying the loop tape was easy with plenty to spare. As of yet i've not noticed any loss of adhesive and i've not lost any digits handling it. The soft case is slightly rigid but not enough to feel comfortable kraming it in the back with rest of the gear (to be expected from a soft case though). The shape of the board though is ideal though for a handful of smallish pedals arranged stacked, allowing access to each while also conserving space.
I my opinion a good buy, nothing stood out as particularly good or bad but i got what i paid for so i was pleased.

Got this as my first pedalboard and I must say that the quality of this pedalboard is excellent. The board itself is light and durable, the gigbag is well made and reliable fot traveling to gigs.
The only con for me was that that with TC Electronic nova system on board you can't close the gigbag, but that's my fault for not getting the height measurement right at the first place. So if you want to put a multi-fx unit on this board, you should carefully measure the total height of board + multi-fx.
Other than that it's a great unit.

the real deal
I mean, you did not expect so much.
it's light like a feather, the effects themself weight more than the board.
durable and really strong construction.
the bag is really well made and looks amazing.
inside a lot of velcro to install the effects.
for years I've made my own pedalboards, from now on, I'll stick with pedaltrain!

my first pedaltrain
I always wanted a pedaltrain, i just love the concept and the light aluminium construction. The novo18 was big enough for my needs and i decided to go with the soft case. The construction is good, very solid and light and the board have it's own serial nuber, my is 6.459.032, hehe. it comes with enough velcro to apply on the whole board. It's simply a good quality product. The only thing i would like different is the hight of the soft case. the pedals on the highest point of the pedalboard are a little bit pressed by the top of the case when is closed. a couple of cm more would be perfect. The soft case on its own is also really good made. Feels solid and sturdy. All in all i am really sadisfied with this product.

Nice pedal board
I like this pedal board a lot.
It's quite light but made out of solid materials.
The size is perfect. I have 9 pedals on mine with some big ones (Whammy DT for example).
Enough velcro added to be able to attach all your pedals.
The soft bag is also a nicely made to protect your precious pedals!
