Neural DSP Quad Cortex

Far from the hype and all the difficulties that Neural has had since its launch at NAMM in 2020, with covid, lack of electronic components and all the difficulties, we are in 2023 (almost 2024) and Neural has recovered its "delay" with the last firmware update. There is still lag in banking changes, but it is minimal and competitive with its competitors. The usability is killer, I believe it is the best on the market. I personally prefer the sound of the Neural Quad Cortex to the Kemper, but it's my personal taste.

The WiFi connection is magical, it backs up and integrates with their cloud, the desktop application, even though it's killer in the beta version, was really what was missing!

I had a problem with my spine, I had to have surgery this year and I can no longer carry my tube amplifiers, which weigh more than 50 kilos. The Neural Quad Cortex saved my life in this regard.

It is a promising, modern device, with a long life ahead of it. The community is active, if you're lazy like me, there are thousands of ready-made archetypes, captures and tones, where you just adjust what you need.

Thomann is always excellent, I'm from outside Europe, I've always bought equipment from them for a long time, the delivery was accurate.

If you have any doubts, I recommend that you do a lot of research, watch thousands of videos and make your choice! My recommendation may not be worth anything, I'm not famous, I'm not a good guitarist but I've been playing for over 30 years, I've had all the possible analogue and electronic equipment (boss, line 6, roland, korg, zoom, digitech, TC electronics, table boogie, Peavey, EVH and many boutique pedals) but I can say that this is the most innovative equipment, with quality sound, flexible and high technology currently available!

Ela é plug and play! É fácil de chegar ao som que queremos.
A qualidade do som é incrível, as capturas são incríveis.
Os contras:
Ela é um computador , ela a qualquer momento pode ter um BUG e parar de funcionar alguma coisa.
A fonte de alimentação é muito má para o preço da pedaleira.

Direct Monitoring feature still is unusable on Windows as of January 2022. I have tried every QC OS update/USB driver/windowsOS workaround on the PC of every bedroom producer I know and all with the same result. The entire signal gets bitcrushed when you record, fizzy unusable mush. Line-outs work just fine. Never had this issue occur on a Mac.

Side-note: I'm pretty disappointed that many teased features (such as being able to load Archetype plugins, having a desktop editor) have not been added and at this point never will be. I anticipate they'll put out a new unit with this feature in a few years and leave any early adopters in the dirt. This unit is rusting away, a waste of potential. The company's focus seems to have shifted almost entirely to their plug-in users. Not acceptable conduct at this price-point. I dare you Neural, prove me wrong in the next update

Lastly: flimsy unconditioned power supply, should come with something more reliable. USB 2.0 Type B is practically extinct why is it on this unit? Why doesn't the app have audio demos for user presets? Why is it so cluttered to navigate? Why is there so much latency switching presets?
