This is my first smartphone accessory i buy, and to be honest it's a good product for the price. The product is solid and sturdy enough, it would have been nice to have the possibility to rotate the smartphone, but this design leaves you with just 2 fixed position. That said you can always change that with your mic stand. And that's probably the best part; you can use this clamp with your regular mic stand, and not worry about buying and extra stand just for video purposes. Bear in mind that you would need an adapter for that, but it's just a few bucks. Recommend!!!

I bought a few of these to hold my phones in their shock cases. The spring is strong and silent (no wear), the locking mechanism guarantees peace of mind when mounting $1000+ phones, cold shoe mount is very handy and can be mounted vertically or horizontally. Well worth the money highly recommended with the MTPIXI-B stand.
