A great heavyweight

This was my first "big" bass amp purchase. Bought it for my "garage" band a couple of years ago and when it came I was amazed with the power it was packing.

It is a heavy amp (expected tbh) but the wheels it brings and the two handles are a great help! Do note that the wheels are not suited or will give you problems on non flat terrain.

Lately I started a new band, a real heavy energetic rock band which made me also upgrade my bass to a Warwick $$ and all I can say "wow!"
The lows are so round deep, the mids and highs pierce right through you and with the EQ it has you can control the sound for different gigging places (the XLR Out has been great and made many sound techs happy).

Overall, for the price... it's totally worth it and I will only consider an upgrade when this one breaks down or if i REALLY need to.

Adquiri este combo para actuações em bares, e em palcos de dimensão considerável. 5 estrelas! Bom som. Versátil. Excelente preço tendo em conta potência, comparado com outras marcas. Volume no "1" fazem as vidraças Vibrar!

Ich wollte speziell 15'' haben, damit das tiefe H meines 5-Saiters deutlich rüberkommt. Übermäßig viel Leistung brauche ich nicht unbedingt - Studio und kleine Bühnen. Der Hartke war schon engere Wahl, und nach telfonischer Beratung mit einem Thomann-Mitarbeiter dann der Favorit.

Und?

Hmmh, also ganz unten im Keller bei 30Hz läßt die Präsenz ein klein wenig nach, aber nicht viel. Kann man mit dem Equalizer nachregeln. Anonsten ist er bei 35Hz, dem eigentlichen Bassbereich, mit viel Kraft am Start. Sehr positiv auch, dass er absolut keine Störgeräusche (Rauschen, Brummen, etc.) von sich gibt.

Was mir auch gut gefällt, ist die Anordnung der Bedienelemente oben im hinteren Teil - wer sich mal (evt. sogar mit umgehängtem Instrument) vor einen Bühnenverstärker hingekniet hat, um eine Einstellung zu verändern, weiß, dass das nicht unbedingt lustig ist.

Mit Effekten ist der Hartke sehr schwach bestückt, Klangregler und ein 7-Band-Equalizer sind alles. Für mich völlig in Ordnung, weil ich sowieso fast nie Effektgeräte benutze. Und falls doch, gibt es Loop-Out und Loop-In, an die man die Geräte anschliesssen kann, die man wirklich (!) braucht.

Kleines Manko sind Größe und Gewicht. Solange der nur zu Hause steht, ist das kein Problem. Aber wehe, man muss durch ein enges Treppenhaus zwei Stockwerke hoch. Das ist halt der Preis für eine grundsolide Verarbeitung und den fetten Klang eines 15-Zöllers.

J'aime beaucoup ce combo car le son est bien grave comme j'aime. Cela dit, il a un défaut : il n'a pas de double entrée "active/passive". Le son est carrément très fort avec une basse active, et il faut mettre le son au minimum pour ne pas s'exploser les tympans.
