Good quality but check your sizing
I bought this to replace a red tort pickguard that came with a Harley Benton Jazz Bass. The pickguard itself is well machined with smooth edges and bevelled screw holes that show off the three ply (Black/White/Black) material.
My only warning is that neither the neck pickup hole and the neck pocket cut out do not line up with the Harley Benton bass I ordered at the same time. The screw holes also appear to be in slightly different positions (It would be useful if Thomann could provide a diagram with dimensions to allow customers to check before ordering).
Thomann were very good when I contacted them, and they have arranged a return at their expense for a refund.

Well made, great value
This is a well made and good value for money pickguard that fits both my Harley Benton Fretless JB and my Marcus Miller V7 bass.
The fit is 'nearly' perfect on the HB Fretless Jazz bass, whilst the fit on the Sire V7 is not quite perfect but in my opinion good enough.
The HB Fretless does not have any screw holes in the body, so you may want to make some, personally I have just used double sided tape, as the fit is snug enough.
Some of the holes on the Sire V7 do align with the Pickguard, some do not - I elected to screw some in and use double sided tape for any other areas. Again, the fit is snug and secure.
The Pickguard is well made and has a quality look.
Just an edit to say that the pickguard has warped slightly just above the front pickup position. This was probably down to me not drilling a new hole and screwing the pickguard down into place. Just thought I would mention that the guard can possible warp if only using double sided tape.

Did not fit - Returned
This item was bought to be used with the self assembly jazz bass kit that Thomann sell. Unfortunately it did not fit, so it was returned. Maybe i just received a badly cut one, but buyer beware.

good pickgard
I got this on the off chance it would fit my Harley Benton fretless J bass. With some small adjustments it fitted nicely (but it won't fill all HB J bass's).
I was never keen on the fretless bass without it.
The pickguard is nicely cut and beveled with no rough edges, and flawless high gloss finish.

Doesn’t fit the JB20
Even though it’s advertised as a HB J bass pick guard replacement it doesn’t fit the JB20. The holes are off which could be fixed by drilling new holes. But it doesn’t align with the control plate whatsoever. Theres a noticeable gap.

Iako izgleda odli?no... Na svom Jazzu USA sam morao zabu?it dvije rupice kako bi mogao zavidati sve vijke... Ostala je sitna praznina izme?u control platea i pickguarda... Kako ovaj proizvod nije zapravo funkcionalan, ve? samo estetski, nije nikakav problem... Jednostavno jeftinija varijanta...

Dosnt fit fender jazzbass
The size is the same but the holes for screws and mics dosnt fit a fender jazzbass. With a little help from a file and drill (new holes in the bass) it works.

It's a pickguard!
This pickguard is well made, it does its job and looks good, it fits the guitar it was designed to fit, there's nothing else I can say about it!
