Beware Epiphone Owners
Maybe I am a tad silly - bought this to replace the plastic plate on my Epiphone Les Paul Standard which had begun to crack - the holes do not line up! great official Gibson product, very high quality finish but not compatible with Epiphone Guitars!

Gibson's Nickel Jack Plate, is very solid . Keep the origine creme plastic jack plate from your Gibson Les Paul , to make your guitar back original, in case off selling !!.

Essential Mod
this is an essential mod i do to all my historic Gibson guitars R9, R0, R8, R7.....that usually come with the period correct plastic jackplate. Tired of them breaking i started replacing them with these years ago, direct fit and will never break again. I even age them when needed to match the rest of the hardware. Just fits USA made guitars.

Replace the plastic version to this one
I always replace the standard plastic jack plates on most Gibson Les Pauls with this one. The plastic version is crap and tends to break the first time the cable gets strained. The metal plate however is strong and works as expected.

It's just a plate but get it. Its certainly stronger than the original plastic one on the Les Paul which broke - without a good reason actually

Great quality
Bought as a replacement for the plastic one on my 08 Gibson LP traditional that had cracked. Great quality, recommended replacement.

It is what it is!
Using straight jacks with a Les Paul bass, the jack got knocked and dropped, cracked the original plastic jack plate. This happened TWICE, I've since started using strap locks, right angled jacks, but as further precaution, this is a far more sturdy jack plate. Well worth the up grade!

Great visual upgrade
I ordered this plate to replace the plastic plate on my Epiphone Les Paul, the screw holes don't match but it's an easy fix with some toothpicks and wood glue.
