Awsome mic for Tom's, or anything.

Sounds great on Tom's, but in reality it sounds great on just about anything. There are clips available for any instrument. They just work so well, I bought 1 originally, now I have 10.

Die DPA 4099 Core Drum kommen in sehr edlen Cases, die definitiv halten, was die Hülle verspricht. Die Mikrofone sind sehr gut verarbeitet, obwohl sie auf den ersten Blick sehr fragil aussehen. Die Montage an den Toms ist sehr einfach und deutlich schneller als z. B. beim Beta98. Ich muss aber dazu sagen, dass ich mir die Mikrofone direkt mit den Universalklemmen bestellt habe, da ich sie als Close-Mics für die Beckenabnahme haben wollte.
Die Mikrofone sind einfach eine Offenbarung. Ohne jeglichen EQ etc. auf dem InEar, hatten Becken und auch Toms (nur testweise) nun eine Klarheit und eine Detailtiefe, die fast den Anschein erweckte, als hielte man das Ohr einfach ans Becken. Bei den Toms fiel mir auf, dass vor allem im Höhenbereich mehr ist, als bei der eben genannten Referenz. Die Mikrofone klingen deutlich knackiger und schlagen sehr präzise an.
In jedem Fall eine Kaufempfehlung, auch, wenn ich die Mikrofone statt dem großartigen Case auch in Zeitungspapier und für einen 100er weniger gekauft hätte. ;)
