Decent sound, great humcancelling
I picked these up for a PJ configuration bass because my P pickup was hot and I needed something with a little more "oomph". These did the job nicely but weren't that great.
The good:
- They're hum-cancelling;
- Powerful output and great midrange;
- Good build quality;
The bad:
- The sound is "meh". I've seen J bridge pickups sound much better (the fender custom shop for instance);
- The installation was VERY confusing. Dimarzio uses a different way to connect pickups so beware with the normal schematics you use.

Good for PJ, sounds dry
It has a matching output to my standard Fender '62 Custom Shop pickup; but (like many other noiseless pickups) sounds a little dry to me.

Excellent Quality No My Sound
Excellent quality pickup, just not the sound that i was looking for. This pickup definitively sounds more like a humbucker than a single in my opinion.

Bass Pickup
The DP148 is a 'potted' twin coil pickup (humbucker) made for basses with a 20mm string spacing - I fitted it to my acoustic bass in replacement of its piezo pickup; it is a good pickup - I will probably buy more of these.
