A classic but better
This ds1 really gets better with the waza treatment. Less harsh, (or more if you get back to classic mode). It's less noisy. Does the garage tone even better.

Two excellent pedals in one
With both the custom and classic modes, you really have two distinct distortion pedals in one. Everyone knows the classic DS1 sound, but the custom setting is a different beast with a more pronounced mid-range and fuller overall sound. I find myself using the custom 90% of the time, but it is good to have the classic DS1 circuit in the same pedal.

I use this mostly on kick drums and nothing compares. My favourite distortion pedal and also great gain.

The legend of DS1 with Waza Craft treatment
Boss nailed it to "reinvent" the DS1 so you get all the disto sounds you need with custom and classic modes. Not to mention the build and sonic quality, a definitely must have in a pedalboard.
