Easy polyphony

This module has made the largest difference to my eurorack setup for the smallest size and lowest price. Notwithstanding that you do need an XAOC Odessa to use it in the first place... Odessa already sounded great but now I can play glorious synth pads so I definitely recommend this as an add-on.
If I'm using Hel then I generally have Odessa in 3 voice mode with a Keystep and Befaco Midi Thing to get the 3 CVs. Controlling 5 is possible too but I'd need a larger midi interface.

Fundamental Odessa's little mate

It simply allows you CV pitch control over all 5 voices of the Odessa module. Wouldn't have bought the Odessa without the Hel. To me is fundamental to unleash the full potential of the oscillator module. Recommend!
Obviously it doesn't make sounds of its own, gave it 5 stars as it made no sense to lower the rating for that reason: it's an expansion module!

Für den Odessa ein Muss

Ich habe das Hel Modul zusammen mit dem Odessa genutzt.
Die Möglichkeit, den Odessa polyphon spielen zu können ist natürlich super - Ich frage mich, weshalb das Modul optional ist und nicht direkt im Odessa mit integriert wurde. Es funktioniert alles genau so, wie man es erwarten würde.

Polyphonie für Module von XAOC Devices

Der Hel ist unabdingbar, wenn man Polyphonie in Synth-Modulen von XAOC Devices nutzen möchte. Bekanntestes Beispiel ist der Odessa, ein additiver Synth, für welchen ich das HEL Modul auch nutze.

Die Installation ist simpel: Der HEL wird ganz einfach per 5 poligem Flachbandkabel mit dem Odessa verbunden.

Daraufhin stehen 5 CV-Inputs zur Verfügung. Diese akzeptieren Spannungen zwischen 0 und 5 V (1 V/Oct) und erlauben die Kontrolle über je eine Stimme, die abhängig vom Grundton des Odessas gestimmt und auf die chromatische Tonleiter quantisiert werden.

Das Modul bietet auf 3 HP also maximale tonale Kontrolle über den Odessa und sollte bei ausreichend Platz im Rack unbedingt in Betracht gezogen werden.

Die Verarbeitung ist wie von XAOC Devices gewohnt hochwertig.
