Tech 21 MIDI Mongoose

L'oggetto è robusto e realizzato in modo ineccepibile. Il fatto però di dover schiacciare assieme più pulsanti per effettuare il cambio di bank lo rende di difficile utilizzo: se serve solo per cambiare dei preset prima di iniziare a suonare è perfetto, ma se durante una performance si sbaglia a premere i pulsanti e per sbaglio si cambia inavvertitamente bank si perde tempo a ripristinare bank e suono originario.
Peccato perchè la pedaliera è compatta, robusta, ineccepibile da ogni punto di vista.

I bought this controller to use my electric guitar modeler in a context of playing live and in rehearsals with my band. It works perfectly for this purpose.
The controller is quite lightweight and compact, which makes it quite easy to carry in the rack where the modeler is mounted, or even in the guitar case.
Also use it to control a multi-effects unit in parallel. works equally well.
The Midi mongoose is quite versatile, I can use it with up to two expression pedals, I can power it with phantom power from the 7-pin midi cable (or with a 9-volt battery mounted inside), and all in one compact chassis that can even be mounted on a pedalboard to control an effects pedal that has midi capabilities (to change presets for example).
The quality of construction is quite high, nothing on the pedal seems fragile or poorly designed. the switches are soft and not too noisy.
It was a great purchase, I doubt I'll sell it in the future.

Ich bin Gitarrist und verwende das Midi Pedal für das Switchen von Verstärker-Kanälen und Multi Effekt Programmen.

Erstmal die positiven Aspekte:
+ Es ist extrem kompakt
+ Es ist gut gebaut und robust

Die negativen Aspekte:
- Die Tasten leisten so wenig Widerstand (und sind so nah beieinander), dass man immer wieder zwei Tasten auf einmal erwischt. Mit dem drücken auf zwei Tasten sind jedoch weitere Funktionen verbunden (Springe um 5, oder 10 Programme rauf bzw. runter). Das führt dazu, dass man z.B. unabsichtlich statt auf Programm 2, auf 126 wechselt. In Live Situationen natürlich ein Albtraum, da man den Weg zurück während dem Spielen oder Singen nicht mehr findet. Als Workaround habe ich nun jede zweite Taste abgedeckt und abgeklebt, so das ich nur die Tasten 1, 3 und 5 verwenden kann. Klingt doof, ist es auch, aber funktioniert einmal.
- Für den Preis hätte ich mir erwartet, dass ich die Tasten auch beliebig Programmieren kann (so wie beim günstigeren Behringer FCB 1010). Z.B. Beim drücken auf Taste 1, führe Programm 1 auf Midi Channel 1 aus und gleichzeitig Programm 3 auf Midi Channel 2. Sowas ist leider überhaupt nicht möglich. Man muss sich also darauf verlassen, dass alle Empfangsgeräte sehr gut programmierbar und am gleichen Midi Channel sind. Das hat jedoch viele Limitierungen.

Ist das Pedal also kompakt und gut gebaut? Ja. Ist es empfehlenswert? Nein.
