Buon suono e facile da usare

Trovare un delay con un input e output di tipo xlr non è facile. Tc helicon si sta specializzando su questi singoli pedali per chi ha le idee chiare e non vuole impazzire nel capire il funzionamento di mille effetti .. come va di moda ora con le pedaliere multieffetto (ottime sicuramente per strumenti tipo chitarra ma poco funzionali per voce o strumenti a fiato). Per i live è ottimo, nessun fruscio o rumore,poco ingombrante . Rispetto ai precedenti modelli Voicetone la qualità del suono è nettamente migliore. La funzione ''Analog'' in particolare dona un suono caldo e profondo paragonabile a delay di tipo analogico quindi ottimi per voce e strumenti a fiato. Inoltre è molto intuitivo da usare.
Le uniche pecche sono:
non ha la possibilità di registrare dei preset personali.
Anche il tap tempo non è particolarmente preciso, il margine di errore in fase di esecuzione può dar fastidio.
Le rotella del feedback è troppo empirica, difficile senza un po' di pratica riuscire a dare il parametro che si vuole.
Tutto sommato un ottimo pedalino.

Fantastic unit 10 stars. One of the best echo units I have ever owned and I have owned a lot since the 1970s includinbg the old tape echo units! I use it for sax directly from a bell bug mic. The selling factor was that it uses XLR connectors. You can just use it in-line by connecting straight into a mic XLR cable on stage. It has every feature you could want from an echo unit including an analogue replication button, tap echo, sound on sound, 2 perfect pre-set slap back echos, pre-set timed echos and user set echo from micro short to looooooong. Pre-amp gain control, infinite repeats, excellent mix option, swell and so on. BUT, no battery option which, to me is no big deal, because the power supply is all you really need and it won't need changing half way through a set ... this is for vocal and horns not for guitars really. I never use my delays on battery power ... good analogue sounding delay always takes a lot of power. There's no tone control but you don't need it because it produces such a great neutral sound and, you'll be using it in-line, pre-mixer anyway. This unit is rugged. The dry/wet mix and repeat buttons could be a bit tighter so the settings stay where you set them last time but hey, it never hurts to keep everything in check …

Not good as an auxiliary effect

I was hoping to use this pedal as an auxiliary delay effect, however it only works good if you connect it in chain with other tc pedals, but not as a aux unit. You hear the corrections it's trying to make to the signal and to the audience it sounds weird. And for me it sounded awful. So if you're going to use this product with other tc pedals it might work well for you since it gives you a control on the stage, but nothing more
