Un perfetto incrocio

Il PU ha un look fantastico opaco che lo rende aggressivo ed elegante al tempo stesso.
Presente un output veramente alto, quindi consiglio di non regolarlo troppo vicino alle corde incombendo in un pssibile sbilanciamente rispetto al PU al ponte.
Possiede le caratteristiche più famose dei PU per manico della seymour duncan: la rotondità del Sh 2 jazz unita alla spinta sulla medio alte e basse del Sh 1 '59 con la differenza di avere un output molto elevato.
E' un PU che sui suoni clean dei generi moderni come hard rock e metal è assolutamente perfetto, ma su generi più vintage forse non è molto indicato.
Il suo vero campo sono i suoni lead dove riesce a dare il meglio: compatto rotondo e definito. Sulle parti molto veloci riesce a mantenere le note molto scolpito e chiare evidenziando, in un certo senso, gli errori del chitarrista.
Difetti: forse output un po eccessivo.

Very nice sounding Neck Pickup

The Sentient (6 string version) is a very nice sounding neck pickup aimed mainly at the broad Metal genre, but it has a really nice, warm sound capable of pretty much anything you throw at it. You don't have to sacrifice tone for output, it's perfectly suited for clean chords, nice crunchy solos and creating really good sounds with the volume rolled off. I bought it together with it's matching Bridge Pickup, the Nazgul, and the outputs of those match each other very well, no adjusting of volume necessary. There really isn't anything not to like about it, as long as the clear and natural sound of a passive Humbucker is what you desire.

The installation was easily done with the provided wiring diagram and it looks pretty slick with the black-in-black look, instead of the usual silver "dots".

A great Pickup all around and easily worth the money!

Amazing on Mahogany+Ebony

Got this to pair with my Nazgul and remove a set of actives. Been told by many that it is a really high/brigth voiced PU, well, not in anyway at least on my guitar. Sounds Articulate, hot while maintaining dynamics, and it feels amazingly responsive to pick attack.

Seymour did an amazing job on this one

Amazing clarity, very modern sound leaning towards "hi-fi", but still preserving the guitar tone. Split it and you will never touch single coils again :)
